Abstract
Se divulga una trituradora para triturar material a fin de formar partículas más finas, incluyendo la trituradora una carcasa que alberga un cabezal triturador montado en un eje. La carcasa soporta un casco triturador exterior, en tanto que el cabezal triturador soporta un casco triturador interior. Los dos cascos trituradores cooperan para formar una brecha de trituración entre ellos. La trituradora incluye además un mecanismo de accionamiento unido al eje para generar un movimiento del casco triturador interior en relación con el casco triturador exterior. El mecanismo de accionamiento incluye por lo menos tres unidades de accionamiento unidas al eje y configuradas para impartir al eje una fuerza de tracción. Se divulga además un método para operar la trituradora, en donde cada una de las unidades de accionamiento es activada y desactivada selectivamente para generar selectivamente un movimiento orbital o giratorio del cabezal triturador en relación con la carcasa exterior.
