Abstract
Un método y un sistema automático para evaluar la condición de un inserto de una herramienta de corte en una fresadora que comprende un dispositivo de inspección y un software de procesamiento para la evaluación del desgaste de la herramienta. Tal sistema comprende medios para manipular el(los) inserto(s) de la herramienta de corte, sustituirlo(s) cuando se desgastan o rompen, con base en la valoración provista con el software de procesamiento posterior o con base en la configuración definida por el usuario.
