Abstract

Se dan a conocer composiciones y métodos para controlar plagas de plantas. En particular, se proporcionan novedosas proteínas insecticidas que tienen toxicidad contra plagas de insectos coleópteros y/o lepidópteros. También se proporcionan moléculas de ácido nucleico que codifican las proteínas insecticidas novedosas. También se dan a conocer métodos de preparación de las proteínas insecticidas y métodos de uso de las proteínas insecticidas y ácidos nucleicos que codifican las proteínas insecticidas de la invención, por ejemplo, en plantas transgénicas para conferir protección contra el daño de insectos.
