Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un nuevo evento de maíz transgénico que expresa la proteína insecticida Cry1Da truncada o modificada designado evento ME240913. La invención informa los ácidos nucleicos que son únicos para el evento ME240913. También se definen, iniciadores, amplicón, métodos y kits para detectar la presencia del evento ME240913. La invención también se refiere a plantas de maíz que contienen el evento mencionado, usos de las mismas, métodos y composiciones de control de insectos plagas lepidópteros. La invención describe un evento de maíz que demostró un alto nivel de protección de plantas contra daños de alimentación producidos por Lepidoptera, incluyendo S. frugiperda, así como insectos resistentes a Cry1F. El evento de la invención se mostró altamente tóxico para S. frugiperda.
