Abstract

Se describen composiciones y métodos para el control de plagas de insectos. En particular, se proporcionan proteínas insecticidas novedosas que tienen toxicidad contra plagas de insectos coleópteros. También se proporcionan moléculas de ácido nucleico que codifican las proteínas insecticidas novedosas. También se dan a conocer métodos de preparación de las proteínas insecticidas y métodos de uso de las proteínas insecticidas y ácidos nucleicos que codifican las proteínas insecticidas de la invención, por ejemplo, en plantas transgénicas para conferir protección contra el daño de insectos.
