Abstract

La invención se refiere a un dispositivo y método para aumentar la velocidad y estabilidad del pasador de soldadura en la soldadura por fricción-agitación, en donde dicha invención comprende las siguientes características: a) una herramienta de trabajo (1) que comprende una brida de retención (2) para una herramienta tipo cúpula cónica (3) con una tuerca de unión (4); b) un anillo de retención anular (12) el cual encierra un vástago de pasador (6) con una zapata de la herramienta (7) fijada al diámetro del anillo de retención (12), en donde la zapata de la herramienta (7) tiene una superficie de alisado y compresión (11) en la región de la punta del pasador (10) para alisar el cordón de soldadura, en donde el vástago del pasador tiene el ancho de la zapata de la herramienta (7); c) la punta del pasador (10) tiene una superficie de fricción anular (9) que rodea un tornillo de transporte (8) para la salida del transporte de material desde la punta del pasador (10), en donde el hilo de dicho tornillo transporte se desplaza en contra de la rosca de la punta del pasador (10).
