Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema para tratar una combinación de un líquido y materia granular, cuya materia granular es mayor o igual que un tamaño de grano mínimo y comprende dos o más tipos de materia granular con diferentes densidades, en donde al menos dos de los diferentes tipos de materia granular tienen densidades que son mayores que la densidad del líquido. El sistema comprende una máquina de estratificación con una cámara de estratificación o clasificación para mantener la combinación de líquido y materia granular, cuya cámara de estratificación o clasificación tiene una o más paredes laterales. La máquina de estratificación también contiene una placa móvil que se dispone dentro de la cámara de estratificación o clasificación, donde la placa móvil tiene aberturas de tamiz más pequeñas que el tamaño de grano mínimo de la materia granular a tratar para de esta manera mantener la materia granular por encima o sobre la parte superior de la placa móvil. La máquina de estratificación contiene además un sistema de accionamiento para mover la placa móvil en movimientos verticales hacia arriba y hacia abajo dentro de la cámara de estratificación o clasificación para de esta manera ejercitar o tratar así la materia granular dentro del líquido. También se proporciona un método para tratar la combinación de un líquido y materia granular. La materia granular puede incluir o consistir de materia granular polimérica.
