Abstract

Un sistema de almacenamiento de energía de batería para su uso en la prestación de servicios de equilibrado a una red de distribución de energía eléctrica está configurado para monitorizar el estado de carga (SoC) de una batería de almacenamiento (26). Si el SoC está dentro de un intervalo óptimo (48), el servicio de equilibrado se proporciona únicamente cargando y descargando la batería. Si el SoC de la batería cae por debajo de un umbral bajo predeterminado (52), se opera un primer activo que no es de batería para aumentar la energía suministrada a la red. De manera similar, si el SoC de la batería supera un umbral alto predeterminado (50), se opera un segundo activo que no es de batería para proporcionar el servicio de equilibrado. Con esta disposición, se reducen los requisitos sobre la capacidad de almacenamiento de energía de la batería. Para que el sistema cumpla con los requisitos reglamentarios del servicio de equilibrado, la batería solo necesita seguir siendo capaz de cargarse o descargarse más allá de cada umbral (50, 52) durante un período de tiempo que cubra el tiempo necesario para que el activo respectivo alcance su capacidad operativa.
