Abstract
La invención se refiere a un pluviómetro (10) que mide la pluviosidad o caída de lluvia. El pluviómetro (10) incluye una cámara de medición (30) que tiene un puerto de entrada (32) en un extremo y un puerto de drenaje (34) en el otro extremo. El puerto de drenaje (34) está cerrado por una válvula (50) y puede programarse para que sea abierta en eventos predefinidos para liberar el agua recolectada en la cámara de medición (30). Un embudo o recolector (14) adaptado para recibir la caída de lluvia abre hacia el puerto de entrada (32) y un transductor ultrasónico (36) transmite y recibe señales acústicas (38) hacia la cámara de medición (30). El transductor ultrasónico (36) puede programarse para determinar el nivel de agua en la cámara de medición (30). La invención incluye también una estación meteorológica automática (300) que incluye el pluviómetro (10).
