Abstract
La invención se refiere a un dispositivo y un método para inspeccionar contenedores (10) en busca de impurezas (12) y estructuras de contenedor tridimensionales que comprenden una fuente de radiación (14). La fuente de radiación está diseñada para emitir radiación (18) que irradia a través de un contenedor que va a ser examinado. El dispositivo también comprende un elemento de detección (20) diseñado para detectar la radiación que ha sido emitida por la fuente de radiación y ha irradiado a través del contenedor. El dispositivo además comprende un elemento de evaluación diseñado para evaluar la radiación detectada por el elemento de detección en términos de suciedad y daño al contenedor. La fuente de radiación tiene una pluralidad de zonas de radiación espacialmente separadas (16.1, 16.2, 16.3). Las zonas de radiación de la fuente de radiación están diseñadas para emitir radiación de diferentes rangos de longitud de onda o de una intensidad diferente.
