Abstract

La invención se refiere a un dispositivo y un método para inspeccionar contenedores (10) en busca de impurezas (12) y estructuras de contenedor tridimensionales que comprenden una fuente de radiación (14). La fuente de radiación está diseñada para emitir radiación (18) que irradia a través de un contenedor que va a ser examinado. El dispositivo también comprende un elemento de detección (20) diseñado para detectar la radiación que ha sido emitida por la fuente de radiación y ha irradiado a través del contenedor. El dispositivo además comprende un elemento de evaluación diseñado para evaluar la radiación detectada por el elemento de detección en términos de suciedad y daño al contenedor. La fuente de radiación tiene una pluralidad de zonas de radiación espacialmente separadas (16.1, 16.2, 16.3).
