Abstract
Las toxinas insecticidas descritas en la presente son péptidos de toxina fusionados constituidos de un dominio dirigido fusionado a un dominio de toxina. El péptido dirigido genera una asociación específica con los mosquitos haciendo que el péptido de toxina fusionado se una a los mosquitos de tal manera que conduzca a la actividad insecticida. Las plantas transgénicas descritas en la presente son mosquitocidas expresando una proteína de toxina insecticida en el néctar que incluye un péptido dirigido para asegurar la especificidad contra mosquitos. Esas plantas transgénicas sirven como modelo de seguridad, puesto que no son plantas de cultivo y son específicas para una especie de mosquito.
