Abstract
La presente invención describe una rueda abrasiva que comprende un núcleo circular que tiene una periferia exterior, una llanta dispuesta ortogonalmente a dicho núcleo circular en dicha periferia exterior, dicha llanta que comprende una superficie interior y una superficie exterior, y un material granulado dispuesto en al menos parte de dicha superficie exterior. Además, una pluralidad de aberturas se dispone en el núcleo para proporcionar un flujo de aire dirigido hacia la superficie interior, y en donde la superficie exterior de la llanta se proporciona con una pluralidad de ranuras, y donde una parte principal del material granulado se dispone en dicha superficie exterior de dicha llanta en espacios entre dichas ranuras. De esta manera, la rueda abrasiva se enfría durante la operación, el calor se disipa más fácilmente y se minimiza la acumulación de partículas del producto que se muele. Debido a la pluralidad de aberturas en el núcleo circular, el aire es forzado sobre la superficie interior de la llanta, proporcionando de esta manera enfriamiento por aire. Debido a la presencia de ranuras en la superficie exterior, el área superficial de dicha superficie exterior aumenta inevitablemente, aumentando de esta manera la disipación de calor y proporcionando enfriamiento adicional a la rueda abrasiva. Al disponer una parte principal del material granulado en espacios entre las ranuras, dichas ranuras se mantienen libres de material granulado minimizando de esta manera el riesgo de acumulación de material o partículas en dichas ranuras. La combinación de enfriar la rueda abrasiva y reducir el riesgo de acumulación de partículas aumenta aún más la vida útil de dicha rueda abrasiva.
