Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para verificar un documento de seguridad (1) por medio de un dispositivo de lectura (2), caracterizado porque las primeras propiedades de transmisión y/o reflexión de una primera región (3) del documento de seguridad (1) son detectadas en un primer rango espectral por el dispositivo de lectura (2) y un primer conjunto de datos que especifican estas propiedades se genera a partir de las mismas, en donde la primera región (3) al menos en algunas regiones se superpone a un elemento de seguridad óptico (la, lb) dispuesto en el documento de seguridad (1) o integrado en el documento de seguridad (1), porque las segundas propiedades de transmisión y/o reflexión de la primera región (3) del documento de seguridad (1) son detectadas en un segundo rango espectral por el dispositivo de lectura (2) y un segundo conjunto de datos que especifica estas propiedades se genera a partir de las mismas, en donde el primer rango espectral difiere del segundo rango espectral, porque la autenticidad del documento de seguridad (1) y/o del elemento de seguridad (la, lb) es comprobada sobre la base de al menos el primer conjunto de datos y el segundo conjunto de datos.
