Abstract

Proceso para elaborar un polvo o gránulo que contiene al menos un agente quelante seleccionado de sales de metales alcalinos de ácido metilglicindiacetico (MGDA). diacetato de ácido glutámico (GLDA) y ácido iminodisuccinico (IDS), dicho proceso comprende las etapas de (a) introducir una solución acuosa o suspensión acuosa del agente quelante respectivo (A) en un secador por pulverización o granulador por pulverización, y remover la mayor parte de dicha agua mediante secado por pulverización o granulación por pulverización usando un gas con una temperatura de entrada de 125 a 250°C, (b) retirar el polvo o los gránulos, respectivamente, del secador por pulverización o granulador por pulverización, respectivamente, (c) separar los finos de dicho polvo o gránulos, en donde dichos finos tienen un diámetro de partícula máximo de 350 pm, (d) separar los grumos de dicho polvo o gránulos, en donde dichos grumos tienen un diámetro de partícula de 1500 pm o más, (e) moler dichos grumos hasta alcanzar un diámetro de particula máximo de 500 pm, (f) reintroducir dichos finos de la Etapa (c) y los grumos molidos de la Etapa (e) en el secador por pulverización o en el granulador por pulverización, en donde la porción de finos está en el rango de 0.5 a 20% en peso del agente quelante total (A) retirado en la Etapa (b) y la porción de grumos molidos está en el rango de 5 a 60% en peso del agente quelante total (A) retirado en la Etapa (b).
