Abstract

La invención provee un método mejorado para transformación de sorgo y la producción de sorgo genéticamente modificado. En particular, se describen métodos y medios para la producción de células de planta de sorgo transformables de alta calidad las cuales se mantienen en cultivo por una duración más prolongada sin perder su potencial regenerativo y su uso para transformación genética. El método también describe el uso de medios mejorados para regeneración vegetal eficiente a partir de células vegetales transformadas, con lo cual se provee mejora significativa en la frecuencia de transformación estable de sorgo.
