Abstract

Se proporciona un producto forjado en caliente que tiene una resistencia al desgaste y resistencia a la fatiga excelentes, incluso cuando el producto forjado en caliente se produce con un tratamiento térmico de refinación y omitiendo un tratamiento térmico de endurecimiento de la cubierta, después de la forja en caliente. Un producto forjado en caliente, de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención, tiene una composición química que consiste, en % en masa, en C: de 0.45 a 0.70%, Si: de 0.01 a 0.70%, Mn: de 1.0 a 1.7%, S: de 0.01 a 0.1% , Cr: de 0.05 a 0.25%, Al: de 0.003 a 0.050%, N: de 0.003 a 0.02%, Ca: de 0 a 0.01%, Cu: de 0 a 0.15% y Ni: de 0 a 0.15% con el resto siendo Fe e impurezas. La matriz a una profundidad de 500 µm a 5 mm desde una superficie no mecanizada del producto forjado es una estructura de ferrita y perlita, en la que una fracción de área de ferrita proeutectoide es 3% o menos o una estructura de perlita y el diámetro promedio de las colonias de perlita en la estructura de perlita a una profundidad de 500 µm a 5 mm desde la superficie no mecanizada es de 5.0 µm o menos.
