Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de escoria que tiene un alto contenido de litio, adecuada como aditivo en la fabricación de productos para el usuario final, o para la recuperación económica del litio contenido allí. La concentración de litio ciertamente se compara favorablemente con la de espodumena, el clásico mineral minado para la producción de litio. Esta escoria se caracteriza por una composición de acuerdo con: 3% < Li2O < 20%; 1% < MnO < 7%; 38% < Al2O3 < 65%; CaO < 55%; y, SiO2 < 45%.
