Abstract
La presente invención aborda el problema de proporcionar lo siguiente: un agente de tratamiento superficial que está libre de cromato y que puede impartir una excelente adherencia al revestimiento y resistencia a la corrosión a un material metálico (en particular, un material metálico tratado con un fosfato); un método de tratamiento superficial que utiliza el agente de tratamiento superficial; y un material metálico tratado superficialmente que es tratado superficialmente usando el método de tratamiento superficial. Este agente de tratamiento superficial es un agente de tratamiento superficial para un material metálico y contiene un monoalquil éter de etilenglicol soluble en agua. Además, es preferible que este agente de tratamiento superficial contenga por lo menos un tipo de compuesto metálico seleccionado de un compuesto de vanadio soluble en agua, un compuesto de titanio soluble en agua, un compuesto de zirconio soluble en agua y un compuesto de hafnio soluble en agua.
