Abstract
La presente descripción detalla métodos para inspeccionar líquidos, aerosoles y geles (LAGs) para amenazas. El método incluye escanear LAGs empaquetados en bolsas de plástico en un proceso de varias etapas. En un escaneo primario, la bolsa es escaneada usando una técnica de TC de energía dual con radiación de haz en abanico. En caso de alarma, se vuelve a escanear el recipiente de LAGs que generó la alarma usando una técnica de dispersión de rayos X coherente con radiación de haz cónico. El sistema tiene un mecanismo para cambiar entre dos colimadores para producir ya sea un haz en abanico o un haz cónico. El sistema también tiene un mecanismo para posicionar el objetivo correctamente para su escaneo y para evitar la superposición de recipientes cuando se escaneen varios recipientes de LAGs en una bolsa.
