Abstract
Un procedimiento para el acabado de urea que comprende: (a) eliminar agua de una solución acuosa de urea en una primera sección de evaporación y condensación, obtener una urea fundida; (B) someter dicha urea fundida a un tratamiento de acabado que comprende granulación y que da como resultado urea sólida y aire contaminado con polvo de urea y amoníaco; (C) someter dicho aire contaminado a un lavado ácido, produciendo una solución acuosa que comprende urea y sales de amonio; (D) someter al menos parte de dicha solución acuosa a evaporación en una segunda sección de evaporación, obtención de una corriente líquida que comprende urea y sales de amonio y una corriente gaseosa; (E) condensar dicha corriente gaseosa en una segunda sección de condensación, obtener una corriente acuosa de reciclado; (F) usar al menos una parte de dicha corriente acuosa de reciclado para la depuración del aire contaminado; (G) convertir al menos una porción de dicha corriente líquida que comprende urea y sales de amonio en partículas sólidas, y (h) usar dichas partículas sólidas como semillas para la granulación; Se describe también una planta de urea correspondiente y un método de renovación de una planta de urea.
