Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un material de acero tratado térmicamente que tiene una resistencia a la tracción de al menos 1.800 GPa mientras que ofrece tenacidad excepcional y capacidad de soldadura. Este material de acero tratado térmicamente tiene una composición química que comprende en % en masa, 0.05%-0.30% de C, 2.0%-10.0% de Mn, 0.01%-1.00% de Cr, 0.010%-0.100% de Ti, 0.0010%-0.0100% de B, no más de 0.08% de Si, no más de 0.050% de P, no más de 0.0500% de S, no más de 0.0100% de N, 0%-2.0% de Ni, 0%-1.0% de cada uno de Cu, Mo, y V, y 0%-1.00% de cada uno de Al y Nb, El resto es Fe e impurezas inevitables. El material cumple la condición: 4612 x [C] + 102 x [Mn] + 605 = 1,800, donde [C] es contenido de C y [Mn] es el contenido de Mn, y además tiene una micro estructura que comprende el 90% en volumen o más de martensita, la densidad de dislocación dentro de la martensita es 9.0 x 1015 m-2 o más.
