Abstract
La presente invención es concerniente con un proceso para producir partículas submicroscópicas esféricas de dióxido de silicio amorfo, en el cual dióxido de silicio y un agente reductor es inyectado a un recipiente de reacción de óxido de zirconio en estado fundido, el óxido de zirconio sirve como depósito de calor, en el cual el dióxido de silicio reacciona con el agente reductor produciendo un vapor de silicio-sub-óxido, el vapor de silicio-sub-óxido es oxidado en las partículas de óxido de silicio submicroscópicas esféricas.
