Abstract
Un proceso para la producción de partículas en sub-micras esféricas de óxido de aluminio (Al2O3), en donde el óxido de aluminio y el metal de aluminio se agregan al recipiente de reacción que comprende una reserva de óxido de aluminio en estado fundido, que sirve como un depósito de calor para el proceso. El óxido de aluminio reacciona con el metal de aluminio produciendo gases de sub-óxido aluminio gases y vapor de aluminio. Los vapores de los sub-óxidos y del aluminio se oxidan arriba de la reserva fundida de óxido de aluminio para dar óxido de aluminio en la forma de partículas en sub-micras esféricas.
