Abstract

Se describe un método de preparar un mono-acetato, o carbonato de aglicol que implica una cualquiera de dos vías a partir de alquilen-glicoles, HMF o sus productos derivados de la reducción (es decir, FDM, bHMTHFs). En particular, de acuerdo con una vía, el alquilen-glicol, HMF O fdm, BhmthfS se hacen reaccionar con un dicarbonato de dialquilo en presencia de un agemte desprotonante, en ausencia sustancial de un catalizador extrínseco, para producir un éter, y subsiguientemente se hace reaccionar el éter con una base acida. De acuerdo con la otra via, se hacen reaccionar alquilen-glicoles con un donante de acetato en presencia de una base ácida para generar un mono-acetato de alquileno, y se eterifican con un carbonato en presencia de un agente desprotonante.
