Abstract

Un intercambiador de calor para enfriar un flujo de aire comprimido mediante el uso de un anticongelante líquido, incluye un apilamiento de placas de flujo de anticongelante que se extiende en una dirección de apilamiento; una carcasa rodea al apilamiento de placas de flujo de anticongelante para definir por lo menos parcialmente la trayectoria de flujo para el aire comprimido, e incluye una primera pared generalmente dispuesta en un plano paralelo a la dirección de apilamiento, una segunda pared unida a la primera pared y generalmente dispuesta en un segundo plano perpendicular a la dirección de apilamiento, un puerto de anticongelante provisto en una superficie externa de la primera pared, una abertura provista en una superficie interna de la segunda pared, y una trayectoria de flujo de anticongelante que se extiende a través del interior tanto de la primera pared como de la segunda pared entre el puerto de anticongelante y la abertura.
