Abstract

Un mecanismo de plegado de ala manual provee medios por medios de los cuales se reconfigura el ala de una aeronave entre una configuración de vuelo y una que puede fácilmente guardarse y transportarse. El mecanismo de plegado incluye un tubo de extensión que permite que la porción exterior del ala se extienda lejos de la sección interior del ala, gire alrededor del eje lateral de la aeronave y después pivotee hacia atrás de tal forma que se almea con el eje longitudinal de la aeronave a lo largo del fuselaje. El mecanismo de plegado del ala es independiente de los componentes estructurales del ala usados para transportar las cargas aerodinámicas durante el vuelo y proveer medios al usuario para llevar a la sección de ala exterior en una posición casi de alineación mientras el mecanismo de plegado del ala a continuación ayuda a refinar la alineación a su configuración de vuelo final.
