Abstract
Un método para controlar un motor de imán permanente sin escobilla. El método comprende dividir cada medio periodo de un ciclo eléctrico del motor en un periodo de conducción seguido por un periodo de marcha libre. El periodo de conducción entonces se divide en una primer periodo de excitación, un periodo de marcha libre secundario, y un segundo periodo de excitación. El método entonces consiste en excitar un devanado del motor durante cada periodo de excitación y permitir la marcha libre del devanado durante cada periodo de marcha libre. El periodo secundario de marcha libre tiene una posición y longitud dentro del periodo de conducción que actúa para reducir el contenido de harmónicos de la corriente en el devanado en relación a la fuerza electromotriz trasera en el devanado. Como resultado se mejora la eficiencia del motor.
