Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso de recubrimiento con rodillo para aplicar una capa de recubrimiento sobre una lámina no continua, que comprende las etapas de 1) aplicar una composición de recubrimiento líquida a la superficie superior de la lámina haciendo pasar la lámina horizontalmente entre un rodillo aplicador y un rodillo de apoyo; 2) hacer avanzar la lámina recubierta con un elemento de avance de lámina recubierta; en que el avance se interrumpe después de pasar el rodillo aplicador mientras se mantiene un menisco de composición de recubrimiento líquida entre la lámina detenida y el rodillo aplicador rotatorio, y el avance se restablece cuando el menisco ha desaparecido. Con este proceso es posible fabricar láminas recubiertas con un recubrimiento óptico, tal como un recubrimiento anti-reflectante, láminas que muestran defectos de borde notablemente menores y menos visibles, especialmente en el borde trasero. La invención se refiere también a un aparato de recubrimiento con rodillo adecuado para hacer funcionar el proceso de la invención, aparato que comprende al menos un rodillo aplicador, un rodillo de apoyo, un elemento de avance de lámina recubierta y un medio de control para hacer funcionar el elemento de avance de lámina dependiendo de la posición de una lámina en el aparato.
