Abstract

La presente invención se refiere, en general, al campo de la biología molecular y se refiere a un método para mejorar diversos rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento y de importancia económica en plantas. Más específicamente, la presente invención se refiere a un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas modulando la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido tipo WI12 (WIL) o un polipéptido tipo SAWADEE o un polipéptido tipo POZ (Pox virus y dedo Zn). La presente invención también se refiere a las plantas que tienen modulada la expresión de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido WIL o un polipéptido tipo SAWADEE o un polipéptido tipo POZ, cuyas plantas tienen mejores rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento respecto a las plantas testigo. La invención también proporciona los ácidos nucleicos que codifican WIL hasta ahora desconocidos, y los constructos que los contienen, y ácidos nucleicos que codifican tipo POZ hasta ahora desconocido y los constructos que los contienen, útiles para llevar a cabo los métodos de la invención.
