Abstract

En la presente se describen técnicas para el archivado selectivo de contenido de medios. Un primer dispositivo de entretenimiento almacena una pluralidad de archivos de contenido de medios en un primer medio de almacenamiento. El primer dispositivo de entretenimiento selecciona una porción de los archivos de contenido de medios para respaldo basándose en características de los archivos de contenido de medios y transmite la porción de los archivos de contenido de medios a un segundo dispositivo de entretenimiento a través de una red de comunicación. El segundo dispositivo de entretenimiento almacena la porción de los archivos de contenido de medios en un segundo medio de almacenamiento asociado con el mismo.
