Abstract
Se describe un diseño óptico y mecánico de un lente relleno con fluido, no redondo, sellado, capaz de proporcionar variación de la potencia óptica. El lente de fluido incluye al menos tres componentes ópticos: al menos un disco óptico principalmente rígido, al menos una membrana óptica principalmente flexible y una capa de fluido transparente que está en comunicación vía un canal de fluido, con un depósito de fluido en exceso contenido en un depósito al que se puede acceder para aumentar el volumen de fluido dentro del lente de fluido, para cambiar la potencia del lente de fluido.
