Abstract
Un lente de enfoque variable (10) comprende un anillo (20) con una superficie frontal y una superficie trasera. Una membrana flexible (40) se sostiene entre la superficie frontal del anillo y una cubierta frontal transparente generalmente rígida (50) y una cubierta trasera (60) se monta en la superficie trasera del anillo, para que una cavidad formada entre la membrana flexible de la cubierta trasera pueda llenarse con un líquido. La cantidad de fluido en la cavidad se puede variar para variar la curvatura de la membrana flexible y así variar las características ópticas del lente.
