Abstract

Un método para volar roca en un sitio de explosión subterráneo en el cual son taladrados perforaciones de sondeo (11a, b, c) en una masa de roca (10) desde una cara que define el ataque rápido (12), cada perforación de sondeo es cargada con al menos una carga de material explosivo (13a-c, 14a-c, 15a-c), al menos un detonador es colocado en asociación operativa con cada carga, y una secuencia de al menos dos eventos de inicio es conducida para volar la masa de roca, en cada una de las cuales únicamente algunas de las cargas son iniciadas, enviando señales de disparo únicamente a los detonadores asociados con las cargas y en el cual cada evento de inicio es un evento de inicio controlado a discreción del usuario. En uno de al menos dos eventos de inicio se crea una porción varada de la masa de roca como un pilar que ya ha sido taladrada y cargada, y la porción varada de masa de roca es volada en uno o más de al menos dos eventos de inicio subsecuentes sin que el personal tenga acceso a la porción varada. Las primeras cargas explosivas (13a, b, c y 15a, b, o) pueden ser voladas en un evento de inicio, dejando un pilar de mineral varado con la perforación de sondeo precargada (11b) extendiéndose a través de éste. Los detonadores pueden ser inalámbricos.
