Abstract
Un sistema potencial de almacenamiento de energía que incorpora múltiples unidades de lanzadera (22) instaladas sobre vías que tienen carretillas de impulsión (76) de motor/generador (102) y una estructura (88, 90) con un mecanismo integral de transferencia (80, 86, 87) para transportar de manera removible masas de almacenamiento de energía desde un primer patio de almacenamiento (12) de menor elevación hasta un segundo patio de almacenamiento (10) de mayor elevación, empleando el exceso de energía de la red eléctrica que acciona los motores, retirando las masas en el segundo patio de almacenamiento para el almacenamiento de energía, recuperando las masas y regresando las masas del segundo patio de almacenamiento al primer patio de almacenamiento, recuperando la energía eléctrica a través de los generadores.
