Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con una planta para la laminación un tubo continuo, comúnmente con un diámetro medio a grande. La planta comprende un laminador principal con rodillos ajustables para la laminación con mandril de un tubo semi-acabado. La planta también comprende el laminador de rodillo fijo de extracción/reducción colocado en la dirección descendente del laminador principal y en serie con el mismo. El laminador de extracción/reducción se diseña para extraer el tubo semi-acabado del mandril y reducir su diámetro a un valor predeterminado cercano al deseado para el tubo acabado. Finalmente, la planta comprende el laminador de dimensionamiento de rodillo ajustable. El laminador de dimensionamiento se coloca en la dirección descendente del laminador de extracción/reducción y fuera de línea con respecto a este último. Este laminador de dimensionamiento se diseña para ajustar la posición radial de los rodillos y definir el diámetro del tubo saliente. La invención también se relaciona con un método para laminar un tubo continuo.
