Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición y un método para decolorar un tinte, que comprende poner en contacto el tinte con una composición que comprende una enzima perhidrolasa, un substrato para la enzima perhidrolasa y una fuente de peróxido de hidrógeno en donde un perácido se produce por medio de la acción catalítica de la enzima perhidrolasa sobre el substrato en presencia de peróxido de hidrógeno y en donde el tinte se pone en contacto con la composición durante un período de tiempo y bajo condiciones que son adecuadas para producir una cantidad de perácido que es suficiente para decolorar por lo menos una porción del tinte. La enzima perhidrolasa puede comprender la secuencia de aminoácidos expuesta en la SEC ID No. 1, preferiblemente la enzima perhidrolasa es la variante S54V de la enzima. El substrato de éster se puede seleccionar del grupo que consiste de diacetato de propilenglicol (PGDA), diacetato de etilenglicol (EGDA), tracetina, acetato de etilo y tributirina y el peróxido de hidrógeno puede estar en la forma de una fuente de peróxido de hidrógeno seleccionada del grupo que consiste de peróxido de hidrógeno, percarbonato y perborato. También se reclama un kit de partes.
