Abstract

Se divulgan polímeros de látex y composiciones de recubrimiento acuosas que tienen excelente estabilidad de congelación-descongela ción, tiempo disponible, resistencia a manchas, formación de película de baja temperatura, resistencia a la espuma, resistencia de bloque, adhesión, sensibilidad al agua y un bajo contenido de voc. El polímero de látex y las composiciones de recubrimiento acuosas incluyen un polímero de látex derivado de un monómero copolimerizado o mezclado con un compuesto alcoxilado, por ejemplo un tristirilfenol alcoxilado o un tributilfenol alcoxilado. También se proporciona una composición de recubrimiento acuosa que incluye por lo menos un polímero de látex, por lo menos un pigmento, agua y por lo menos un aditivo de congelación-descongelación. Típicamente, el aditivo de congelación-descongelación se adiciona en una cantidad mayor que aproximadamente 1.3%, 2%, 4%, 75%, 10% o 20% en peso del polímero.
