Abstract
Un aparato para formar y probar tubos incluye un armazón que soporta un mandril, el mandril está adaptado para ser colocado dentro del tubo, y dos dispositivos selladores conectados al mandril y adaptados para sellar extremos opuestos del tubo para crear un espacio anular entre el mandril, el tubo, y los dispositivos selladores. El tubo está formado de dos o más segmentos de tubo que se sueldan entre sí. El aparato incluye por lo menos un dispositivo para soldar y unir los segmentos de tubo e incluye preferentemente un dispositivo giratorio para hacer girar axialmente la combinación de mandril y tubo para facilitar el proceso de soldeo.
