Abstract

Se proporciona un aparato reproductor de imágenes en movimiento que puede arrancar dentro de un lapso de tiempo breve para reproducir imágenes en movimiento en reversa. El aparato incluye dos decodificadores y una memoria intermedia de salida. En espera, mediante la utilización de cuadros I en un GOP especificado como referencia, un controlador provoca que un dispositivo de almacenamiento lea secuencialmente primero datos de imágenes en movimiento codificados de los cuadros en un primer GOP que precede un GOP especificado y los cuadros hasta el cuadro I en el GOP especificado, y provoca que un primer decodificador decodifique los primeros datos de imágenes en movimiento codificados. Además, durante la decodificación del primer decodificador, el controlador provoca que el dispositivo de almacenamiento lea secuencialmente segundos datos de imágenes en movimiento codificados de los cuadros en el GOP especificado y los cuadros hasta el cuadro I en un segundo GOP después del GOP especificado, y provoca que un segundo decodificador decodifique los segundos datos de imágenes en movimiento codificados. Después, el controlador provoca que la salida del primer decodificador y la salida del segundo decodificador sean escritas en la memoria intermedia de salida. Por consiguiente, los datos de imágenes en movimiento decodificados son enviados desde la memoria intermedia de salida inmediatamente al arrancar la reproducción reversa, y se reproducen imágenes en movimiento.
