Abstract
Se proporciona un método para sintetizar una proteína de interés con un perfil modificado de N-glicosilación dentro de una planta, una porción de una planta, o una célula vegetal. El método comprende co-expresar dentro de una planta una secuencia de nucleótido que codifica una primera secuencia de nucleótido que codifica una proteína híbrida (GNT1-GalT) que comprende un dominio de CTS de Nacetilgiucosaminil transferasa (GNT1) fusionado con un dominio catalítico de beta-1,4galactosiltransfera sa (GalT), la primera secuencia de nucleótido se encuentra operativamente ligada con una primera región reguladora activa en la planta, y una segunda secuencia de nucleótido para codificar la proteína de interés, la segunda secuencia de nucleótido se encuentra operativamente ligada con una segunda región reguladora que es activa en la planta. La primera y segunda secuencia de nucleótido se co-expresan para sintetizar una proteína de interés que comprende glicanos con el perfil modificado de N-glicosilación dentro de la planta, la porción de la planta, o la célula vegetal.
