Abstract

Un reductor de presión de llantas emplea un mecanismo reductor de consumo de potencia que comprende un circuito de sincronización (PLL) que incluye un oscilador controlado por voltaje (VCO), que es operado en respuesta a los estados lógicos de una corriente de datos de entrada y un amplificar de potencia configurado para estar colocado en forma externa a un circuito integrado. La corriente de datos de entrada incluye la información de la presión de las llantas y está configurada para estar codificada para contar con estados lógicos múltiples. Se emplea un micro controlador para controlar el VCO, activando y desactivando el VCO y/o el amplificador durante un cierto periodo de acuerdo con el patrón de cada bit de datos de la corriente de datos de entrada, por lo que se obtiene una reducción en el consumo de corriente. Este detector por consiguiente incorpora una colocación optimizada de circuitos en términos de eficiencia de potencia.
