Abstract

La invención se dirige a una unión directa de un vidrio-cerámica a una o una pluralidad de capas de vidrio para formar un laminado transparente, eliminando así una o más de las capas intermedias de polímero entre la capa de vidrio-cerámica y vidrio, y entre las capas de vidrio individuales del laminado transparente cuando más de una capa de vidrio está presente; la unión directa elimina o reduce al mínimo cualquier efecto dañino de temperatura y humedad que pueda ocurrir cuando las capas intermedias de polímero se utilizan para efectuar la unión de vidrio-cerámica/ vidrio y/o vidrio/vidrio en laminados transparentes; la unión se lleva a cabo a atmósfera ambiental a una temperatura entre los puntos de ablandamiento y de esfuerzo del material "más suave" o "de punto de ablandamiento inferior", típicamente el material de vidrio, y se lleva a cabo sin el uso de una capa intermedia de polímero o adhesivo, o la aplicación de un voltaje; los laminados de vidrio-cerámica/vidrio pueden utilizarse en aplicaciones de revestimiento transparentes, particularmente cuando se combinan con una capa de protección de lajas que se une a la capa de vidrio además desde la capa de vidrio-cerámica.
