Abstract

Un aparato y un método para carbonilación de un reactivo incluyendo el secuestro del grupo VIII de catalizador metálico de un proceso corriente que generalmente tiene una concentración ppb de un catalizador metálico. El proceso corriente es tratado con un polímero teniendo unidades repetidas de nitrogen-heterocíclico para secuestrar el catalizador de la corriente, permitiendo entonces recuperar una valiosa cantidad de catalizador regresándolo a la mezcla reactiva. Un aparato que provee una cama de resina de baja corriente que termina en el proceso de carbonilación. Preferentemente la resina empleada es regenerada con una composición regenerativa compatible con la mezcla reactiva de carbonilación por lo cual el catalizador metálico puede ser directamente reciclado y la resina re-utilizada.
