Abstract

Se describe un aparato de flotación (10) para la separación de partículas sólidas de una suspensión con formación de una fracción que carece de partículas sólidas y una fracción rica en partículas sólidas que comprende un tanque con una entrada (14) para la suspensión, con una salida. (16) para la fracción que carece de partículas sólidas, con una salida (18) para la fracción rica en partículas sólidas y con por lo menos un bloque de tablillas (20) compuestas de múltiples tablillas traslapantes (22), en donde el por lo menos un bloque de tablillas (20) tiene un lado posterior orientado 'hacia la pared del tanque y un lado frontal dispuesto sobre el lado opuesto del bloque de tablillas (20). En el lado posterior de por lo menos un bloque de tablillas, se dispone una placa (26) que se extiende sobre por lo menos parte del lado posterior del bloque de tablillas, en donde la plata tiene una pluralidad de orificios que facilitan la penetración del líquido a través de la placa. La suma de áreas de orificios individuales (38) en la región superior, en relación con el eje vertical de la placa por centímetro cuadrado de la placa es mayor que la suma de las áreas de orificios individuales en la región inferior de la placa, por centímetro cuadrado de la placa.
