Abstract

 各膜エレメントの膜面へ均一な気液混合流を送ることができ、膜面の汚れをかきとる力を維持することができる浸漬型膜分離装置を提供する。水平方向に配列された複数の膜エレメント2と、該膜エレメントの下方に配置された散気装置4と、該散気装置及びその周囲の空間を囲む枠体3とを有する浸漬型膜分離装置であって、前記枠体により囲まれた空間の側面の開口部面積のうち、前記膜エレメントの配列方向と平行な側面で、散気装置より上の開口部の面積Bと、配列された膜エレメント上面の開口部の面積Aとの割合(B/A)が0.8~5.0であることを特徴とする。
