Abstract

Un tanque de aireacion utilizado en un metodo de tratamiento de efluente incluye una tuberia para transportar el efluente desde la fuente hacia el fondo de tanque y un ducto de descarga que tiene un efecto de sifon para descargar un sobreflujo desde el tanque a medida que se agrega mas efluente desde la fuente. Una disposicion de tuberias generalmente horizontal esta ubicada en el tanque que tiene una serie de orificios de salida a lo largo de su longitud y conectada a un pleno de aire en una pared lateral para alimentar aire dentro del extreme de cada una de las tuberias, las tuberias que estan colocadas en columnas una sobre otra de manera que el aire escapa desde las tuberias de la disposicion a traves de los orificios para inyectar aire dentro del efluente en el tanque en posiciones separadas transversal, longitudinal y verticalmente. Las tuberias tienen superficies de descarga superiores. Sobre cada tuberia se proporciona un canal colector que recolecta burbujas a medida que se hacen mas grandes y las conducen hacia un extremo para ser reemplazadas por nuevas burbujas pequenas desde una siguiente tuberia superior.
