Abstract

Un método para fraccionar un material lignocelulósico, el método comprendiendo contactar (2) el materia lignocelulósico con un líquido iónico (3) y disolver el material lignocelulósico en el mismo, proveer el segundo liquido (7) el cual es inmiscible con el líquido iónico y el cual es también un no-solvente, para agregar el segundo líquido iónico de manera que se forme un sistema bifásico (6), el cual comprende una fase líquida iónica esencialmente libre de lignocelulosa y una segunda fase líquida comprendiendo lignina en solución y celulosa como precipitado, separar las dos fase y recuperar (8) la celulosa precipitada en la segunda fase liquida separada.
