Abstract

La presente invención proporciona una línea celular humana somática inmortalizada sin proteína priónica (PrP) en donde ambos alelos del gen PrP han sido completamente eliminados mediante recombinación homóloga. La invención además proporciona un método para la producción de dicha línea celular y su uso para la producción de proteínas recombinantes humanas que son adecuadas como biofarmacéuticos.
