Abstract
La invención proporciona un método para la purificación de un líquido por destilación por membrana, que comprende: hacer pasar una corriente de vaporización caliente de un líquido (corriente del material retenido) a través de un canal para el material retenido a lo largo de una membrana hidrofóbica porosa (10), por lo cual el vapor del líquido fluye por medio de los poros de la membrana hasta el otro lado de la membrana, y condensar el vapor sobre el otro lado de la membrana para proporcionar una corriente del destilado en un canal para el material destilado (5), tal material destilado es creado haciendo pasar el calor de la condensación (calor latente) hacia una superficie condensadora (3), la superficie condensadora forma una separación no porosa entre una corriente de alimentación del líquido que va a ser purificado y la corriente del material destilado, tal corriente de alimentación se hace pasar a través de un canal de alimentación (2) en contracorriente con la corriente del material retenido, en tal canal de alimentación un material espaciador (4) está colocado, por lo cual al menos una parte del calor latente es transferido por medio de la superficie condensadora hasta la corriente de la alimentación, y por lo cual una diferencia de la presión del líquido, positiva, es aplicada entre la corriente del material retenido y la corriente de la alimentación en los puntos correspondientes del canal para el material retenido y el canal para la alimentación sobre al menos una parte de cada uno del canal para el material retenido (9) y el canal para la alimentación. La invención proporciona además un aparato adecuado para su uso en el método.
