Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a la composición de un gel bioadhesivo endoparasiticida a base de doramectina, con un alto nivel de adhesión a la mucosa oral equina y con un sabor dulce que facilita enormemente su dosificación, a procedimientos para su preparación y a su utilización. La helmintosis gastrointestinal es una afección parasitaria causada por nemátodos de diversas familias que ocasionan importantes trastornos gastrointestinales en el ganada equino. El control de esta enfermedad es de gran importancia y favorablemente alcanzable mediante el empleo de agentes antihelmínticos adecuados tales como la doramectina, que es un compuesto químico administrado ampliamente por la vía parenteral y poco frecuentemente por la vía oral en forma líquida debido a las características organolépticas y fisicoquímicas de las composiciones conocidas hasta la fecha. La presente invención demuestra que es posible administrar doramectina bajo la forma farmacéutica de gel oral, a concentraciones de hasta 5,0% peso/volumen, superando las limitantes organolépticas y fisicoquímicas de la composiciones conocidas hasta la fecha. Factores, nunca antes incluidos en composiciones endoparasiticidas orales a base de doramectina, que presentan una amplia ventaja diferencial frente a las composiciones conocidas a la fecha.
